Apple

                                                History of Apple

Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Steve Jobs told Ronald Wayne to take 10% of the stock and act as an arbiter if any arguments were to happen between Wozniak and himself. Wayne backed out 5 days later, selling the stock for $800. That same stock is currently worth 95 billion dollars. Apple's first logo was designed by Wayne. It depicted Isaac Newton the physicist under an apple tree. It was then designed again as an apple with rainbow colors. This logo was changed once again to a fully black apple when Jobs reentered the company. From then, the Apple logo changed twice. The first change altered the color to an Aqua Blue, and was then changed to the color silver chrome. Moving on from the logo, how did apple start? When Jobs and Wozniak met each other at a club, they knew they would be friends. They were both interested in tech and was passionate about it. When Wozniak found a way to connect a typewriter to a T.V., they called the result the Apple l. So, after they started Apple, Jobs and Wozniak(Ron had left) released the Apple ll. The Apple ll was one of the 3 1977 trinity computers. Apple then released the Apple lll, a computer for businesses. Because the Apple lll lacked a cooling fan, Apple had to recall thousands of Apple lll's. On December 12, 1980, Apple made an IPO(Initial Public Offering). This instantly made 300 more millionaires, which is more than any company has ever made. Jobs then told the company to create a computer with a graphic user interface, which they did. They called this computer the Lisa. The Lisa and Apple lll ultimately failed. Apple then released the Macintosh, which was a huge success. The Macintosh also introduced the mouse. Jobs was then forced out of the company by John Sculley and the Board of Directors due to a power struggle. That same year, Wozniak and some of the original team left the company. Meanwhile, Jobs had bought Pixar from George Lucas, and started a tech company called NeXT. When the NeXT cube was released, it did not sell well. In 1987, Apple released the Macintosh ll, the first Macintosh 2 have colored graphics. They also released the Macintosh LC (Low Cost)and Macintosh SE (System Expansion). Apple then bought NeXT, which brought Jobs back into the management. NeXT would later become the foundation for the finding of the Mac OS. In 1997, Jobs became the CEO of Apple and began a critical restructuring. Later that year, at the Macworld Expo, Apple announced they had made partnership with Microsoft. One of Jobs first moves as the CEO of Apple was to make the iMac, a laptop that was all of Apple's desktops in one. In 1998 the first iMac was released. Apple had a lot of setback at this time, because customers mostly opted for Wintel, Microsoft technology with an Intel processor, instead of Apples Performa series. The iPod was then released in 2001. Apple released the iTunes app 3 years later. iTunes had 2 million downloads in the first 16 days after it had been released. Jobs then shrinked the iMac into the iPhone 1, one of the first touch screen handheld devices. It was released in 2007 in selected countries. Apple released the Macbook Air in 2008, which was one of the biggest changes that Apple had ever had in their laptop line. The Macbook Air invented a whole new line of Apple laptops called Ultrabooks.  3 years later, on October 5, 2011 Steve Jobs died while battling Pancreatic Cancer. His last words where "OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW." Apple then bought Beats, and then proceeded to create the Apple Watch a year later. After this, all Apple really did was continue their already existing lines. They not yet created something new. It is also worthwhile to mention that there are now much more Android users than IOS users.
